Pitched roof decks, sharp fixings underfoot and the heat from hot works are specific to the roofing trade. Our roofing shoes are built for those conditions, with independently tested slip-resistant outsoles, composite toe protection, anti-perforation construction, some styles feature heat resistance up to 300°C, plus cushioning for long days on site.
Roofing Shoes and Roofing Trainers Built for the Trade
Roofing involves a specific combination of hazards. Grip on pitched and wet surfaces, heat resistance near torch-on works and toe protection wherever heavy fixings and materials are in play all come with the same job.
Developed in collaboration with PUMA Safety, every pair in this collection features SFC's independently tested slip-resistant outsoles, composite toe protection and heat-resistant outsoles tested to withstand contact with surfaces up to 300°C. Every style also features EVA cushioning for support over long days on site. All styles are certified to EN ISO 20345.
The collection currently covers three styles, all in a low-cut trainer design, suited to roofers who prefer a lighter, more flexible option over traditional safety boots. For a broader range of safety footwear for trade and site work, browse our safety footwear collection.
Do these shoes grip on wet roofing felt and pitched surfaces?
Every pair in our collection is built on independently tested slip-resistant outsoles engineered for the varied and sometimes challenging surfaces roofers work on. The outsoles are designed to perform in wet conditions as well as dry, which matters when the weather changes mid-job.
Do your shoes protect against sharp fixings and nails underfoot?
Select styles include anti-perforation construction to protect against sharp objects underfoot, including nails and fixings common on roofing sites. It's worth checking individual product pages to confirm which styles carry this feature, as it isn't present across the full range.
Are your shoes heat resistant?
Yes, select styles are heat resistant up to 300°C, which covers the hot works and bitumen contact that come with certain types of roofing. Check the individual product page to confirm if heat resistance is included in the style you're considering.
What safety certification do your shoes meet?
Styles in this collection are certified to EN ISO 20345, the European standard for safety footwear. That covers composite toe protection and, where specified, anti-perforation midsoles. Roofing work typically requires EN ISO 20345-certified footwear, so these are built to that requirement.
Do I need boots for roofing or are safety shoes adequate?
For most roofing tasks, certified safety shoes provide the same protection where it counts: composite toe caps, anti-perforation construction and slip-resistant outsoles. Whether shoes or boots are appropriate usually comes down to personal preference for ankle support and your employer's PPE requirements. If your site specifies boots, check before ordering.
